My Story

Ballet has been a huge part of my life for over a decade now and I feel very fortunate to have been introduced to this powerful dance form and the thrill it brings with it. Through classes and various performances alike, its contributed greatly to my holistic development over the years. I believe that everyone in the world should have a chance to get introduced to a dance form and ballet is a great starting point towards body-awareness and training the body to serve you well in the long run.

Why ballet?

The dancer's dream!

A classical dance form that is an embodiment of grace, balance and strength, ballet techniques form the basis of a variety of dance styles like jazz, contemporary etc. The lessons from ballet training can be used in any form of dance. 

 

The all-encompassing workout!

Ballet requires both upper and lower body strength, thus engaging and toning key muscle groups and your core over time. The basic techniques  are designed to improve posture, strength and flexibility while improving your physical co-ordination. Do not forget about the single-minded focus this develops while you are at it!

Ballet with Nishi

Vision. Drive. Passion.

As a ballet instructor teaching young kids, I can't think of anything else that brings me more joy than sharing the art of dance. However, false notions suggesting ballet is only for the elite, young petite girls and extremely flexible people are plenty. Over the years, I've realized there are many aspects of ballet that a much broader audience can adapt as a part of their dance and fitness routine. To impart my skills to people looking to learn the dance form or just developing overall fitness, I'm offering online classes to everyone that's interested with no age bar or any other restrictions!

Join me to get started on this journey in a very friendly and accepting environment and break some long-standing false notions in the ballet world.

- Ballet movements and techniques with a focus on developing finesse and grace
- Flexibility, strength and agility to improve ballet technique
- Creative expression by application of techniques into choreography.

Category B

Ballet for fitness

A fresh approach to fitness, the importance of strength, stamina and flexibility in ballet makes it a fun alternative to regular workouts. These classes will train you in :
- Ballet movements and techniques with a focus on strength and conditioning, flexibility and balance.
- Combinations of ballet movements handpicked to curate full-body workouts

I've always wanted to learn to dance but never got around to it. I've not known even the basics of dance and Nishi is teaching me ballet in the simplest form.😁 I'm having loads of fun and learning dance all at the same time!

I joined Nishi's ballet classes to learn some basics of ballet and also to get a good workout in! Some classes leave me thoroughly sore; rest assured, it trumps most other type of workouts. The classes are incredibly fun and you won't realize when the hour's gone by!
